Firstly what is a Block Management Agent?

Agents who act as an intermediary between the Freeholders (owners of the building) and Leaseholders (owners of the individual units within the building), for blocks of apartments and flats. Normally the Block Managing Agent will organise internal cleaning of communal areas, garden maintenance, arrange the insurance, re-decoration of communal parts and collection of the ground rents and service charge account. Duck&Hedges generally considers the property as their client apposed to the Freeholder or Leaseholder and acts on matters in the best interests of the building.

     

Not to be confused with “Residential Property Management”, “Block & Estate Management” is considered management of the freehold to the building.
